Claire describes the practice of yoga as connecting and balancing the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of being human. Her classes emphasize aligning the breath with movement, building endurance and strength, and celebration of heart and spirit. She is dedicated to helping each student recognize their innate goodness and honors each person’s unique talents and strengths. Safe practice is the foundation of her teaching. She encourages remembrance that there is Joy available with each breath and that in this moment, It’s alright… It’s all right.
She is a Yoga Alliance-registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 500), a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP®), and a licensed Anusara-Inspired™ yoga teacher. Claire completed Anusara® Immersion and Yoga Teacher Training Programs at the Willow Street Yoga Center in Maryland and the 500-Hour Certification in Advanced Yoga Studies at the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina.

Claire embraces theme-based instruction and teaches styles of yoga including hatha, vinyasa, align and flow, yin, restorative, and yoga nidra. Since beginning teaching in 2010, her instruction is influenced by her career as a psychologist and educational administrator, certification in neuropsychology, skills as a Reiki practitioner (Level II), and her Mother’s sense of humor and life lessons to enhance her teaching of yoga.
